Malcolm Bilal | Founder of Bloom
Rebuilding the path to homeownership for a generation priced out of it
At just 21, Malcolm Bilal is building more than a startup; he’s building a new pathway to homeownership for a generation being priced out of the housing market.
As founder of Bloom, Malcolm is rethinking how ownership works in today's economy.
Bloom enables people to co-purchase homes through Tenants in Common (TIC) structures, allowing friends, families, and communities to build equity together instead of navigating the market alone.
What sets Malcolm apart is the blend of finance and execution. Through his experience in Bank of America's Industrials Group, he worked on M&A transactions and deal structuring; experience he now channels into solving housing affordability with a finance-first lens.
While completing his senior year at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and interning in venture capital, he continues to build with focus and consistency.
Over 100+ customer discovery conversations and multiple pivots later, Bloom reflects steady refinement toward a clear mission. At the core of it all is access.
Malcolm's vision is a future where co-ownership is normalized, unlocking wealth-building opportunities that have long felt out of reach.
He isn't waiting for change. He's building it.
